About me
Hi, I’m Jules, a qualified Integrative Counsellor and member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As well as working privately as a counsellor in Yateley, Hampshire and online, I also work within a Counselling agency in Wokingham, Berkshire providing counselling support services to adults and young people.
I have always been curious about people and their stories. Every one of us is a complicated mix of where we have come from and our lived experiences are all unique to us as individuals, with no two people’s experiences being the same.
My journey into counselling began more than 20 years ago, when I completed a foundation course in counselling. I loved everything about it and knew that I wanted to eventually re-train as a counsellor. Unfortunately at the time I was not in the position to make this career change, however I worked in Human Resources for the best part of 20yrs, a career where often listening skills and empathy were at the forefront of my work.
I also worked for a charity supporting disabled athletes and disability sports clubs and these experiences have challenged me in different ways, but the thing I valued most is the variety of people I have met and supported along the way.

About Jules
As a qualified Counsellor, Person Centred theory lies at the heart of my approach, which means that you decide what you bring to each session, you’re in the driving seat and I’m the passenger on your journey with you. I offer empathy, acceptance, and genuineness, so that together we can explore what is troubling you. My training also allows me to draw on a breadth of other approaches (see “Counselling – What to Expect Page“).
Being a member of the BACP, means that I am committed to a lifetime of personal development and learning and am passionate about keeping my skills and training up to date to ensure I can offer my clients the best service I can. I adhere to BACP ethical framework, and I have regular supervision to support my counselling practice.
